Villain was fishy but never didnt pushed his money in too lightly. Couple of times he bluffed his missed draws on river but allways tried to catch his draws as cheap as possible. If we are checking here and he bets(he usually bet big) then i am pretty sure we are beat here. Some of the time he may have some sort of huge overpair or 2pair hand. If i bet and he shoves.......then i am definitely beat, considering my read that he tried to hit as cheap as possible. If i bet and he calls, then no matter what river card is going to be, i feel so commited. On flop he bet quickly and allmost snapped my check/raise. His pre flop sizing varied a lot. saw him 4x with premiums and 58s. Then he limped with trash and premiums. His total opening range from button were 42%. like 20 % of the time he minraised............so, i didnt had any tells on pre flop play. Everything looked random. $100 No Limit Hold'em - 2 players - View hand 1548815DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History ConverterHero (BB): $107.65BTN/SB: $91.70Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BB with 7 :spade: 7 :club: BTN/SB raises to $4, Hero calls $3 Flop: ($8.00) 4 :spade: 5 :spade: 7  (2 players)Hero checks, BTN/SB bets $7.60, Hero raises to $22.80, BTN/SB calls $15.20 Turn: ($53.60) 8 :diamond: (2 players)Hero

I don't think there is too much value in a bet, as it will be hard for villain to call with 1 pair hands. However if we check, villain will bet most of his flush draws, his 6x, and some of his 2 pairs. Given that even vs a straight we will have 10 outs for around 22% equity, and that he can bet/call with draws and some 2 pairs, I think CRAI turn is the best play.

Turn went check - check. River came 2 of spades......... Again pretty hard spot. Thought there is no point in betting cause i dont see many worst hands he is going to call since he checked turn behind. So i checked and Villain bet POT. (that was his standard on a river) if he bet at all on river, it was allways a pot. Btw, he was one of those guys whose flop afq was 19%, turn 20% and river 44%. Thank u for ur replies Jesse !!

I would probably c/f the river in that case, though it feels gross. No problem dude

c/f the river does feel gross in this spot, but I think it is the right play as there are not many hands in villain's range that snap c/c flop that we beat . The only upside of betting turn is to charge FD's draws, but then we are put in a tough spot on river if we don't fill up.
I was gonna suggest betting half pot on river to prevent him from bluffing us, but he has to have us beat almost always. Unless he's good enough to do this with total air. Is there a better way to play this hand? or was OP just unlucky?
