Saw this hand on 2p2 and thought it was interesting, how do you play top pair here? "I had notes that villain will call with a wide range and bet a very tight range. I also had a note he over values underpairs. I haven't caught him bluffing yet he has had solid holdings every time. He was pretty passive post flop going for only two streets with top pair type hands. He was very exploitable pre flop opening %73 with F3B 64% ( I was 3b only 15%ish at the time... cranked it up later in the match) Based on these things I think I played this hand well. Does anyone use a different line here? Hand 1/1Hand HistoryReplayerMerge, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 2 Players Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. I said that I didn't like bet sizing as it gives villain a good price to call with his draws. I wonder if OP's plan was to shove any blank on river, but even then, we are never getting called by worse, so why not just bet pot on flop and a slight overshove on turn?

I would c/f turn and feel good about it. Turn really nails villains range, which was already very tight preflop. Can't see him calling with worse 50%+ of the time if we bet, so we should check. If he bets, I don't expect him to bluff very often or value bet worse. Kd and Adx with x being greater than a ten are a huge portion of his range for calling flop. If he checks back turn, we can probably value bet river.
How tight villain is has a ton to do with this, if this were a fish I think a turn vbet would be much closer.
